In our second game of the season vs. Butler County we came out on top by the score of 72-35. We got off to a great start and played really well for 2 quarters and led at halftime 42-15. In the second half, our intensity dropped but we were still able to increase our lead throughout the game.
For the game we shot 27-55 for 49% but were only 4 of 21 from the 3 point line for 19%. We didn't shoot as well as normal from the free throw either as we were 16-24 for 67%. Butler County shot 13-39 for 33% including 2-14 from outside the 3 point line. They were 7-11 from the line. We pulled down 29 rebounds (11 offensive) and Butler County had 22 boards with 5 coming on the offensive end. Butler County had 25 turnovers to our 10 and we scored 16 points off the turnovers. We had 20 steals on the night with Travis Johnston getting 4 and Lance Buckler and Hunter Gary getting 3 a piece. Seth Bratcher had a good game off the bench with 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals and 3 assists.
Tyler Saltsman was chosen Player of the Game for posting a season high 19 points on 5-7 shooting from the field and 8-8 from the line. He also contributed 6 rebounds to lead us. Travis Johnston led us in assists with 10 of our 17 assists. Hunter Gary pitched in with 13 points on 6-10 shooting.
